Eight days from Chongqing's 8D cityscape to Zhangjiajie's sandstone pillars. Watch the Liziba light rail pass through a tower block, ride the Bailong Elevator up Yuanjiajie (the real Avatar peak), cable-car Tianmen Mountain, and wander Phoenix Ancient Town after dark. High-speed train back to Chongqing on day eight.
