Eight days through Hunan's headline landscapes. Tianmen Mountain by cable car, the glass bridge spanning Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, ancient Phoenix town after dark, Furong's hanging waterfalls, and a high-speed train between them. Local 4-star hotels throughout, one 5-star night in Changsha.

- Cable car up Tianmen Mountain, walk the glass skywalk bolted to the cliff face, then ride the world's longest cable car back down (7.5 km, 30 minutes of dangling).
- Cross the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon glass bridge. It's 430 meters long, 300 meters above the canyon floor, and the group freezes halfway across.
- Night walk through Phoenix Ancient Town in Miao costume (hotel provides the outfit). The whole group wanders the lantern-lit alleys like extras in a period drama.
- Ride the Bailong Elevator up the side of a 326-meter cliff in 88 seconds. The Avatar mountains are waiting at the top.
- Taste Liu Xiaoqing's rice tofu at shop number 113 in Furong Town. Silky, cold, doused in chili oil, the same recipe the actress made famous in the 1980s film.

Arrive Changsha. Take Maglev train then high-speed train (2nd class) to Fenghuang Ancient Town. Night walking tour of Phoenix Ancient Town, exploring Tuojiang River scenery, stilted houses, North Gate tower, Hongqiao bridge, stone streets.
